Join me as we peek into the enchanting worlds of two of my favorite bloggers Tania Stephens of 50isnotold and Cyndi Spivey and share the inspiration they provide for women who believe that age is just a number.

Tania Stephens, the creator of 50isnotold.com, has an exceptional talent for engaging with her audience through relatable content. Her honest reflections on aging and personal anecdotes strike a chord with readers and leave a lasting impression. She offers a glimpse into her authenticity when she reveals in her About section, that she was brought up in Middle Tennessee and she had a skunk for a pet!
How it began ~
Tania began her blog in September 2015, on her sister’s advice, to showcase her love for fashion. She had no idea at the time that her blog would become such a hit. It was never Tania’s intention to have a successful blog. On the contrary, when she began photographing herself daily and posting to her blog, she didn’t even share this news with her husband.
Her Instagram profile alone now boasts 180,000 followers.
Tania features a wide range of fashion styles that cater to different preferences among women over 50. Her outfits range from casual chic to elegant evening wear, inspiring all tastes. Her focus ranges from clothes and accessories to make-up, skincare, and household items she uses and prefers.
Tania’s writing is filled with genuineness and warmth. She shares insightful remarks on fashion, beauty, and life, inspiring readers to embrace their individuality and appreciate every phase of life.
Sunday posts are my favourite ~
I enjoy the Sunday posts where Tania takes a break from fashion and delves into topics related to faith and devotion. They are some of my favorite posts.
Tania has a busy schedule managing her blog, social media accounts, and YouTube channel, with a new blog post for each day of the week. It requires a significant amount of time and effort. Affiliate links provide the reader the option to purchase the item she is featuring both on her website and on her social media sites.
Every time I browse through Tania’s blog, I feel inspired to adopt a more fashionable style. Always informative and full of great suggestions Tania consistently delivers useful and informative content .
“I believe that true beauty begins on the inside.” (Cyndi Spivey)

When I read Cyndi Spivey’s blog post, it elevates my spirit to a new level. Her style of writing is full of warmth and authenticity.
Where it began ~
In 2009, Cyndi Spivey launched her fashion and lifestyle blog. She created the blog as a tribute to her late mother who passed away from cancer that same year. Through her beauty for the heart.com blog posts, Cyndi inspires her followers and shares her faith in Jesus.
“Beauty for the Heart.com” is a way to encourage women, and here is where Cyndi shares her true passion. Beauty for the Heart is trademarked as an “online community dedicated to women to know their worth in Christ”.
Cyndi’s blog provides an opportunity to indulge in virtual shopping as well as providing links to purchase featured items and stay updated on the latest fashion advice for women over 40. Her content ranges from Summer Care tips to budget-friendly fashion for all seasons, and home décor, and is accompanied by numerous photographs for visual reference and merchandise links.
A glimpse into daily life ~
Cyndi often offers us a glimpse into her daily life. Most recently she and her husband moved to a new home. Cyndi took us along as she packed and unpacked boxes, the relief she felt when she was starting to get organized, and what she was preparing for Sunday dinner with her family after Church. Comforting, simple everyday stories that warm the heart.
One of my favorite posts provides makeup tips to help any woman over 40 look her best with links to the products she is featuring.
Like Tania, Cyndi is transparent about the blog compensation with affiliate links and other forms of compensation but emphasizes that this does not influence her commentary or opinions expressed in her posts.
Unlike Tania who posts daily, Cyndi’s blog posts are less frequent and are typically shorter in length. I like to think of them as a brief respite from a busy day. They are concise yet informative and leave me feeling refreshed and renewed. Cyndi enjoys a following of 119,000 on her Instagram account.
These two women bring me joy and amusement every week. They often go live on their social media platforms, bringing warmth and humor into my living room. Their suggestions are generally budget-friendly and widely available for their U.S. readers, but I can often find a suitable Canadian version.
Tania completes her blog with a bible verse of the day and Cyndi does as well.
It is a comforting close to the business of their blog.
I’m going to complete this blog post with a favorite excerpt from Cyndi’s blog post titled “8 Summer Skin Care Tips for Women over 40”.
Truth: Be still and know that I am God. In the midst of chaos and uncertainty, these words from Psalm 46:10 can be a source of comfort. When we feel like the world is falling apart around us, it can be tempting to try to control everything, but instead, we need to learn to be still and know that God is in control.
What does it mean to be still? It means to quiet our hearts and minds so that we can hear God’s voice.
The next time you’re feeling overwhelmed or stressed, remember the words of Psalm 46:10. Be still and know that I am God. He is the one who will see you through.
Getting valuable information, entertainment, and inspiration every day is truly amazing. I hope to be like one of these ladies someday if I aspire to anything at all.
Be bold, be authentically you!
