Kindness Meets Creativity: Meet the Woman Behind the Brand

Jess Kroez, Feels Good Creative

I clicked the link with the kind of nervous anticipation usually reserved for pulling  your first soufflé out of the oven! Would Jess Kroez-website whisperer, video maven, aspiring photographer have managed to capture my website concept for a zany offbeat version of A Bodacious Lifestyle?

One click, and I had my answer. Bold colours and even bolder commentary appeared on my screen. My website had undergone a complete metamorphosis! It was bold, authentic, bodacious! Kroez had understood my vision and blasted it to the moon!

Meet Kroez!

Jess Kroez, owner, creator and part-magician is the face behind Feels Good Creative.

Kroez specializes in listening to her client’s desires and hearing the unspoken uniqueness of  your business that will bring it to life. Your vision is just the beginning of her creative process.

This post celebrates her talent and tenacity and showcases a business owner whose integrity and values are at the foundation of who she is.

A flair for the dramatic and a love for continuing education!

Kroez has always had a flair for the dramatic. Growing up in Brampton, she leaned into her budding artistic personality. “When I was a kid, I was the oldest of the younger cousins, and I would direct these very elaborate productions in which we built sets and had scripts, but it never lived up to the vision that I had”, she recalls.

Her confidence to create awe-inspiring content is  supported by her diverse work career and her insatiable thirst for continuing her education.  Jess began her dream job in Toronto, designing websites for car dealerships and children’s TV networks. When her husband’s job shifted to full-time remote work, the family took advantage of the flexibility, eventually relocating to Chatham in 2017 to be closer to Jess’s parents.

Wild Child Imagination Studio and a geek at heart

Becoming the parents of two, the household needed a flexible schedule to manage growing responsibilities. “That’s when I started my first small business-a kid’s art studio”, Kroez explains.

While she prioritized being a mom, she acknowledged that there was the potential for monotony as a stay-at-home mom. And so “Wild Child Imagination Studio” was born. Kroez’s vision was two-fold, for babies and for sensory play she created “messy play for babies”. For her toddler clients, she developed art stations for an open-ended, wild and free experience.

When the pandemic occurred, and in person was no longer a choice, she pivoted and began a subscription service for playdough kits. Although the business ran successfully for three years, it was time to transition to a more robust business plan that would require Kroez to move in  a new direction.

In retrospect, both of these budding businesses were a good place to start and each step, was a step further toward her goal of setting up a reputable and unique marketing business that reflects her values. She was looking to expand her skills in order to offer clients excellent credentials as a foundation, with formidable marketing strategies and tools to promote their business.

Kroez considers herself a geek and values her ability to dig deep and be tenacious regardless of the challenge, she is facing technically “I know that I can figure this out and I am confident about my ability to do just that”, she says.

Perhaps that is why she has worked so hard to develop the skills she considers necessary, to expand her repertoire of talent. The learning process is continuous. She augments her natural esthetic style by taking courses and watching educational videos.

Key Collaborative Partnerships

This has led to key collaborative partnerships with like-minded businesses. She often partners with Karolina of Inka Taurus, Photography and Emily of RSLV Consulting. These are ladies who she respects for their talent and professionalism and their unbending goal of creating excellence for their clients.

Increasing her visibility often means stepping outside the comfort zone of her own personality, which she admits, is more at ease behind the lens of her camera, or in her office immersed in a client’s project, editing.

Kroez gets herself out there attending network events. She hosted a workshop at the She Leads 2024 event and will be helping with the marketing and shooting videos at the She Leads 2025 event. She is invited to make a presentation regularly at Starter Company Plus through the Economic Development Department for the City of Chatham-Kent.

Kroez is committed to staying at the forefront of creative innovation so she can continually push boundaries for her clients. “I’ll always need to be learning something new”, she says.

Her passion is creating videos so that her clients get noticed. As Kroez so often says “she takes the cringe” out of creating a video. She takes care of the strategy, tech and the production so that business owners can focus on running their business.

“Video is such a deep field, I’m learning so much at such a rapid pace that I think my work is also improving at a rapid pace”, she says. She believes that “video marketing (paired with a strong brand) has the biggest impact of any marketing tool out there”.

30 minute complementary chat

Kroez offers a 30 minute complementary chat to discover how her services can support your business. Based on that chat, she creates a proposal for you.

Her goal is to create effective marketing strategies that will surpass all of her clients expectations and get the client’s business in front of the right people with a polished image.

Ironically, Kroez readily admits that her biggest challenge is promoting her own business. While she excels at creating videos, websites and marketing materials for her clients, she often hesitates to shine the same spotlight on herself.

What attracted me to Kroez was not just her obvious technical credentials, but who she is as a person. She leads with integrity and isn’t afraid to stand up for human rights, even when it is inconvenient or unpopular.

Passion for True Crime, Sushi and kindness

She describes herself as an introvert and comes across as genuinely sweet and kind. Beneath that calm exterior lies a passion for true crime, sushi and making others feel good about themselves.

I can see that Kroez will continue to evolve with the ever changing landscape of marketing, creating websites that zing and videos that pop and are reflective of her client’s best attributes.

And she will do all of this, with grace, good humour, kindness and a touch of magic!

Be bold, be authentically you!

Lovingly,

Donna
